I know, I know, we are neck deep in October and I am STILL wrapping up summer posts! There is nothing quite like reflecting, writing and sharing, but in the busy summer season, I can't find the time. Awe well, better late than never!

Fall is cozy as it is crazy. Warming up under blankets and sweaters, cooling off on leaf-littered walks, kids back to the classroom, and most of us in the home office! I love nesting in the fall, and I love reorganizing our home in the Spring and Fall. There's the yard and the garage, organizing and donating, cleaning out and cleaning up, and lets not forget the DECOR! My God I love changing decor...

But this season of pregnancy and Fall is a whole other level of organizing!

If you missed the announcement we are expecting a baby girl in January. This next chapter is so exciting, and our family are beyond thrilled!

But, back to summer! Way back when... spring that is, Megan with Opal and Oak Events and I got to talking about a stylized shoot. This was my first and it was such a pleasure to collaborate with Megan!

As we brought together all of the pieces, we couldn't be happier with the vendors we got to bring together. I even had the pleasure of working with these vendors again throughout the summer and fall.

Networking is my favourite part of this industry: laughing, chatting, meeting wonderful humans. Of course, life is full of ups, downs, and surprises when it comes to meeting people... we have all been there I am sure! But I am so grateful for everything that comes with the journey and all the wonderful people I've had the pleasure of working with this past summer!

How often do you see a brunch wedding? Almost never I assume! Brunch is the best, it is one of the only meals when you can eat bacon and drink booze, so Megan and I decided to stage a brunch wedding. Fresh cut flowers and citrus brought our shoot to life!

In our hunt for a cute couple, we found Dawn and Sarah; we reached out and knew instantly that they were perfect for this elopement! Hair and make up had double the fun, Confident Beauties by Chelsey and Courtney Green Hair Design brought together beautiful looks for both Dawn and Sarah. The girls looked both timeless and unique, and they completed their outfits with simple and elegant pieces by TMD Jewellery. I love Tessa's work and have a number of her pieces in my collection. TMD is a beautiful addition for any outfit or occasion.

Our photographers captured the essence of this stylized elopement. Bryttanni Photography and Saltbox Photography put their own spin on the special day, from capturing the love between Sarah, Dawn and their little dude, to the brunch spread, decorative pieces, and decor. They were a brought this shoot to life, and their stellar work speaks for itself.

We contracted our rentals from Special Events Rental in Red Deer. The wood placemats and pink napkins brought together the citrus tones beautifully. The florals were absolutely breath taking from Floral Expressions and signage by DMLW Design was perfect for the day. Demi made the signs by hand and she did a bang-up job. I own a few pieces myself because they are just too cute!

Our gorgeous citrus tones continued through with the most spectacular brunch spread by Honey B Charcuterie and the best and most beautiful lemon cake by Stella Bean Sweets. Both of these brought authenticity to the shoot, and a wonderful treat for us to enjoy as well which was very generous!

Outside our venue we had the best bar and most amazing photo booth using our wonderful models' mini camper. Swoon! Paul with Styling Memories was absolutely fabulous and put together a beautiful display of pink, yellow and orange balloons. Our bartender Shauntelle, owner of Scotch & Soda Mobile Bar, was absolutely wonderful to work with. I worked with both Paul and Shauntelle this summer on a few events, and they were absolutely lovely. I am so grateful for all of the vendors, and I can't wait to work with them all on future projects!

Our team was wonderful! Check out the full list of vendors here:
